| Arushi was born in Calcutta in July 1977. She moved to the Southern Indian city of Hyderabad when she was eight. Born into a North Indian Punjabi family but growing up in South India, she witnessed early in life the subtle and not so subtle differences in cultures. |

| Arushi completed her undergraduate degree in India, and came to the United States to pursue an MBA at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. Once again, she found herself in a cultural split, this time between the Indian and American cultures. Like many immigrants, she had her fair share of challenges adjusting to a new environment. She was also fortunate, like many immigrants, to find success and happiness in a country that treated her fairly.
Arushi pursued a career in business consulting before taking on the hardest and most gratifying role of all, “Mom.” She is also launching a line of all-natural baby personal care products called Nature Certified. She has traveled widely in her professional life and loves meeting people from different cultures. In her free time she enjoys writing, reading, and fusion cooking. Split is her first novel. She lives with her daughter and husband in Walnut Creek, California. |
